NORTH HALEDON, N.J. -- "Your problems will be there when you walk out the door. This is your time, make sure you utilize it to the fullest." That's the message trainer Sean Michael Kehoe tells clients he finds struggling to stay motivated or focused on achieving their goal.
As a personal trainer for more than 10 years, Kehoe has been helping North Jersey residents restore their confidence, clear their minds, and get in shape through his business, Transformations By Sean Michael. Kehoe has chosen to shed the grunts of a traditional gym for a more personalized in-home training style.
"It's a freeing experience, working with people one on one. I can give people the personalized attention they need and watch their transformations come full circle by working in the privacy in their own home."
"Fitness has always been a part of my life, I’ve been working out in my basement since 6th grade." he says. After a brief stint in the corporate world, Kehoe received his personal training accreditation and hasn't looked back since. Three years ago, with the courage he instills in others and a lone gym bag, Kehoe founded Transformations By Sean Michael. He says that even though a good percentage of Transformations' clients are women, men definitely contact him because they still need their fare share of help in breaking up the monotony of repeating the same routines for years with diminished returns.
Sean has seen his business blossom throughout Bergen County and cites incredible support from the fitness community as contributing to his growth. "I've been able to build a great relationship with so many people from different walks of life. When I initially founded Transformations By Sean Michael and posted it on social media, people rallied around me to support me. They appreciate what I’m trying to accomplish."
Although the end goal of working with Kehoe is to get in shape and live a healthy lifestyle, he admits that working out is not purely physical. "You have to carve time out for yourself in your life and make it a priority. People devalue their own time, but in order to motivate yourself mentally and physically you need to prioritize yourself." If one can do that, he says, the rest will fall into line.
